Hull Mini-Meet (don't laugh!)

Myself, xmillyxxx and brokendownangel decided we needed to have a ruddy good night out together. Now, along with idontknowwhy, and possibly GilraenH, it shall be so, and the (drunken and possibly messy) event shall take place on 15th August 2009.

As both myself and idontknowwhy live in Hull it was deemed 'sensible' for this event to take place here. I know, I can't quite believe it either, but there we go. Hull will host a mini-meet.

It's not the most vibrant or cultured of cities in England. I can't guarantee you will be dazzled by the glamour. But it is fairly small (i.e. you can't really get lost), the locals are friendly, it's safe, good for a laugh, and (most importantly) very cheap indeed!

It has a new Holiday Inn and various other affordable hotels/B&Bs in the city centre/nearby villages (ranging from about £30 - £80 at the very most for a double room), and it's only an hour or two away from train stations like Leeds and York.

So, if anyone else fancies it, the more the merrier :D

Wahoo it's ages away but I can't wait - am sooooo excited. I do worry intermittently that the people on the other side of the screen might be slave traders or porn traffickers but then realise once they get a look at me they will not expect me to service the great and good of Hull. I also know Milly so there will be two of us to contend with just in case.

Oh this would be good. Have to check finances nearer the time as going to 2 weddings the week after which means 2 hotels and 2 prezzies to buy for. Hmmmm, but sounds very exciting as I've not been to one yet.

Don't worry, I've already decided that we are going to have at least two nights out beforehand so that we can scout where best to go! I don't think everyone will be as up for a pissup in Prop ALL night again!

I've already looked at hotels and prices, going to post that after the weekend.

Foodwise, I so rarely venture into the centre these days I can't even think where to start on the one.

I'm actually panicking now :))

it's difficult because i usually do food down princes ave or go out of town, i can think of a few places that are nice. I'll ask around too
don't panic all will be fine, see if no one turns up we'll get hammered and if lots of people turn up ermmmmm we'll get hammered :))

£120 return train fare. 7.5 hours traintime, changing at Hull.
